Themes

Mixed medium collage – acrylic painting

In a playful manner, the techniques of collage making will be learned, similar to the experimentations and methods of Max Ernst, Henri Matisse and Robert Rauschenberg. The course and process is motivating for beginners as well as more advanced artists.

5 x 3 hours. Tuesday mornings 9:15 – 12:15 am

Basic cours in drawing and painting

Introduction to drawing. Conceiving simple objects, perspective and proportions, studie of tonal value – what is it about? Shortt repetition of the color wheel, introduction into the theory of colors, blending colors, painting a still life. The course begins with “warming-up exercises” followed by a short introduction and discussion on related art theories and artistic texts.

5 x 3 hours. Tuesday afternoon 2 – 5 pm

Course fees: CHF 290.–

Drawing and painting of a portrait

How to capture a portrait with a mirror and a model will be shown and learned, realizing postures. Further teaching of dark and light and color shades, medium can be chosen freely, at the end the work will be discussed together, which will be good practice in observing.

5 x 2 hours. Tuesday evening 7 – 9 pm
